Fighting Stigma with Cinema: A Conversation
Filmmaker Miles Levin has had epilepsy since age 5 and has been active in the epilepsy community for many years. His latest project - 'Under the Lights’, is a fictional short film about a boy with epilepsy so desperate to feel like a ‘normal’ kid he goes to prom knowing the lights will make him have a seizure. Eric's Corner is a proud producer of this film, and has invited Miles to come and speak about the power of representation through cinema. ‘Under the Lights’ features two Disney channel stars in lead roles, and a supporting performance by actor and epilepsy advocate Greg Grunberg (Felicity, Heroes, Starwars 7, 9, A Star is Born). Please join us for a private conversation about how stigma can be fought with the power of film, and an inside look on the movie.
Stay tuned for the date Miles will visit Eric's Corner. In the meantime, check out the links below.
